Pricing

KnockPortal has two prices: a subscription for each combination of city and trade, and a price for each postcard you send.

Prices as of Oct 17, 2026.

Subscription

San Francisco · Roofing: $99.00 a month.

Other cities and trades: Not available yet.

A subscription covers one combination of city and trade. Each combination you subscribe to is billed separately.

With a subscription, your company can send mailings in that combination — by Autopilot or one-off — and download address lists, including walk lists for door-to-door visits.

Viewing the map, choosing areas and building a mailing are free and need no account.

Sending also requires that your company passes our checks: the company itself, your authority to act for it, and its contractor's license. A subscription does not replace these checks.

Postcards

Each postcard costs $0.89, printing and postage included.

Postcards are 4.25 × 6 inches.

Every postcard, as it will be printed, is checked before it goes to the printer. The check is included in the price.

A one-off mailing shows its full price before you approve it, and is paid before anything is printed.

Each Autopilot run is charged to the card you authorized before its postcards are printed — for the postcards of that run, and never more than the cap per run you set.

Pausing or stopping an autopilot cancels its runs whose payment processing has not started; a payment already in progress may complete. Changing its ZIP area, radius, postcards per permit, cap, repeat window or postcard text returns it to draft, with the same effect, and it needs a new authorization before it sends again.

If we exclude a postcard you paid for, or reject a paid mailing, and confirm that it was not printed, its price is refunded to the original payment method. There is no store credit.

If the postcard price changes, no autopilot charges the new price until you authorize it, and your company gets an email about the change.

Canceling

You can cancel a subscription at any time in Settings → Billing; if you can't, write to info@knockportal.com. It stays active until the end of the period already paid and does not renew. Canceling does not refund that period.

Pausing or stopping autopilots does not cancel the subscription.

When a subscription ends, the autopilots in that combination stop sending, and runs whose payment processing has not started are canceled. A payment already in progress may complete. Postcards already paid for may still print under their paid artwork while the required approvals remain valid; ending the subscription does not cancel them.

What stays: your account, your postcard, your settings, and your company's history of mailings and addresses. You can keep using the map, choosing areas and building mailings. Sending and downloading lists need an active subscription again. Retention and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy.

Example

One month of San Francisco · Roofing and 100 postcards cost $99.00 + 100 × $0.89 = $188.00.

KnockPortal at a glance

KnockPortal helps contractors decide where to send direct mail. It uses public permit records for your trade to show where recent permitted work is concentrated, filters out homes with prior permits for the same kind of work, and builds postcard mailings to nearby homes based on the areas you choose. Autopilot is the main way to use KnockPortal: you set a mailing rule and a spending cap per run, then authorize automatic sending under those settings. Sending depends on the required checks and payment, and you can pause or stop the rule. You can also build, approve and pay for a one-off mailing yourself. It shows where permit activity is happening; it does not predict who will hire you.

Available in San Francisco · Roofing: Autopilot (Neighbors of new permits) and one-off mailings.

San Francisco · Roofing snapshot: Oct 17, 2026, 13:30 UTC. It covers the last 30 days of permits: 442 permits, 230 of them in 52 groups.

Subscription for San Francisco · Roofing: $99.00 a month. Postcards: $0.89 each, printing and postage included.

One job covers a month of the subscription and 100 postcards if at least $188.00 is left from it after the job's direct costs, such as materials and crew. This is arithmetic, not a forecast.

Permit records show where permitted work is concentrated, not where work is under way or which homes need it. A home with no permit on record may still have had the work done.
